1-Plea - fowl (Kuhn - chah) (Chooie)

Seen on west side of river on
beach both days only with caution.
of one & which were wrestling near the call at daybreak & at dusk.
whenever a gun is fired,
shy + very alert. When frightening
on beach they takeering tothin
dust they run + keep in cover.
not seen in trees but they
doubtless rest in them.
2 - Pheasant (Lady Anberst)
One skin dried for sale by native.
A white moped pheasants rarely.
A once only at close range.
3 jungle fowl (Yeh-che)
Abundant in ricefields &
riverside. Many cocks seen
my flock by themselves.
4 Franklin -
or hear calling + one flushed.
5 Purplewood Pigeon -
two shot in trees not coming
6 Sharp tailed dove
common nesting in trees.
7 Cotoranous - A large flock.
