Nov. 2) The new hunter Today brought in a fine adult f geron which he had killed yesterday. The loop surrounded this one. I shot it at bay on a cliff where they shot it, but no loop were injured by the feron. The animal was within fat except on the intestines. The stomach contents was chiefly the juts of a crucifer, long + slender, leaves of a pinetree bush & some blades of almas grass. There were no maple or aspen leaves in the stomach like the 1st specimen contained. It rained quietly all day & most of the night. 3) Today the weather was fine + clear, but with a strong breeze from the south. The mountain stood out sharply, the peaks a dazzling white & every crevice was sharp cut. The traps yielded only a few common mice & shrews.
