(30) The weather today was raining & windy like yesterday. Scantful a new Shrew in the forest today, It had a long tail x long hind leg & is again spring from now doubt. In color it's slaty x grey with a long naked tail. The traps contained 21 mammals chiefly Microliths + 2 species of Apodems. The ratline hunters have been out 3 days now but have returned with game. (31) The traps produced another longtailed Shrew + one of the rare black Crocidura like those from timber-line camp. Some of the rat traps had a white belled mouse different from the timberline specimen. This one yesterday out the recipient of a large rat caught in the same trap. At Augments Shrews landscape was covered by a
