A showy flower was a many white Rosaceae 2 inches in diameter + green's on a small straight branch. A pine-fox was another new flower. There were blue carpers, & purple astale. The sides of the valley out of which we climbed were sand- stone, the road slippery yellow clay. Furtheron I saw lava formation. W.C.I 2:3 p.m. we made camp at a isolated temple in rice fields near the village of So - cho - ta. Purple laburnus or ausp dragons, lined the road. At one place I saw a field of white balsams but there is such a cultivated crop grown. The rain continued all night therefore no mosquitoes & marvels.
