bambo shooting rapidly, dark
spots are few, of the land falling
stiff & narrow & terraced,
What was sporting on the lower
bank some nice & supping geese.
The night was cold & frosty much
colder than when at Tahan, our
catch consisted of several Spring
small & numerous gas billed,
Teal ducks or geese were seen on the
river. A flock of 30 large grey cranes over
sea in a field of bamboo feeding.
Our route during the day followed
the river. The tree growth at
price on the hills with clumps of
others near the river, it threaten
still retain their dead branches
about downs were acacias & paw
paw palms.

A-Bei on a hillside far above
the river on a sparsy flat with
