No large game was seen, the only mammals being 2 gray squirrels + a turpial. Many of the birds seen in the pass were species different from those of the route we have followed thus far. At the very summit stands a few huts & there grew, a large banana plant growing, evidence of absence of frost. The cochenut was here grown in fields, also red peppers, corn, buckwheat & taro. We reached at 12:20 P.M.
