Countries. Our usual
fare on the road has been
boiled chestnuts which
we can buy in the village
& walnuts, the latter
are as good as our thin
shelled ones at home,
A large jam of apple
like quality is also
used by us on thyme.
This very juicy but
mushle eaten hard
as when ripe like
pears it is insipid
+ disagreeable.
In the Pass twell
below it as well from
many small aspens
hillsides. & five small
ceders near the creek.
