Hawkins, C.D. 1965 Journal 17 February 1 Horned Island from Blue-faced Boobies and Great Frigate. Larry + Ralph banded Sooty Terns and Paul worked on Blue-faced Boobies while we flood sampled. I joined them around 10 p.m. and helped them finish up their strings. At 12 midnight Larry went with the terns and took a swing around the shoals for some shorebird banding. Nesting figures for Red-footed Booby: 7 birds on 1 egg 2 nests with fresh vegetation will probably have eggs within a few days 5 large nestlings (2 banded) - start here Nesting figures for Great Frigatebird: 63 birds on 1 egg 2 birds with small chicks 2 birds with large nestlings
