Hachman C.D. 1965 General 8 Honolulu Jan. 16 Sitting there all tense up waiting for the pumpkin to appear - it never did which was a terrible disappointment from us both. A truly crummy fish in spite of all the rave it's received. Honolulu Jan. 17 Sacked out until 10 this morning just for kicks even though I woke up (one of many times) at 6. Nothing to do today. We wandered down to the zoo and killed a couple of hours and then went down to the beach. Nothing exciting there either. Returned to the hotel and did laundry the rest of the afternoon. Picked Merrill up at 11:15 p.m. Honolulu Jan. 18 Got up at 7:30 am. Took Merrill to the airport where he rented a 1-1/2 ton truck with a hydraulic lift. We then went to Pearl City and loaded on 3 raptors and the freezer which Merrill and Max took to the Hutch. I drove on into town to pick up 50 lbs of dry ice for the kind shipment that has to be made soon. Was met in town by the truck and we all went out to Cly's to park the shipment. We returned to town + picked up the car and followed Merrill to the airport. After shipping the frozen specimens we drove out to the Hutch to confer with the XO for
