Box No 2 Zoological Specimen 16th Sep. 1841 This Box has the fossils, Shells, Linten and other indicators of having been opened. The Box contains chiefly shells, insects, &c. &c. apparently fossil. Their localities are given above. The slight. Gray Bay & Rio de la Plata. Box No 3 Botanical Specimen 18th Sep. 1841 These Boxes do not appear to have been opened. Each contains a Tin Case. The Contents of the Box are dried plants & sections of Monocotyledons. The whole nearly ruined condition. No. 2 & 3. some cells of plants from Brazil & Patagonia. Chile & Peru. Box No 4. 130 No 12 Brooklyn. Dept. Red Line Feb. 1840 The 130f contains another 1 Tin. Shells although well soldered up. but I evidently have had since it arrived at the Wharf at this Newyork as it is of a date 6 Oct. or Nov. 1840. Contents. Being S. Armament, Sent to New Holland. There are few labels, in any of the Specimens. From what I saw this was all about to have the abracadab of some of the origin- al custody of the 130f. for instance One Cattle called for two Satus Birds, male & female; also this way but one, and another label for this male, of the same kind when this was last time. There are two female S. Martens (Phocat) but no male. Inspect has made several curiously into many of the lining, and generally the lining are badly put up. 130f No 8 Buffalo H The 130f is as far as I can judge to be a former part of the This 130f also referred to in preceding part. 130f No 4 Tennessee Del. This 130f has evidently been altered. Contents. Bird. This 130f although it had been once as I certainly know the opening of the Catalogue, was in a very bad state. The covering is a state of degradation, the lately generally abbreviated of this lining I can easily understand. The entire catalogue of all 4 field bird calls for 140 specimens of the same genus as well as those of the Congress Catalogue Calls for 17. This 130f has only 13 Specimens remaining in the Shelf of the Congress Catalogue Calls for 17.
