Ceratocladium Pat., Bull. Soc. Mycol. France 14: 196. 1898, non
Ceratocladium Corda, 1839.
Type species (only original species): Ceratocladium
clautriavii Pat.
Notes: This has been considered a nomen confusum. Von
Höhnel (1909b) based his genus Basidiobotrys on Patouillard's
Ceratocladium clautriavii. Ainsworth (1971) suggests that Xylo-
cladium Syd., another nomen confusum, is the acceptable name.
Cladosterigma Pat., Bull. Soc. Mycol. France 8: 138. 1892.
Type species (only original species): Cladosterigma fusispora
Pat.
Notes: Petch (1923) treated the genus in the Stilbaceae as
did Clements and Shear (1931) though doubtfully. Kendrick and
Carmichael (1973) state that the illustration in the original
publication is difficult to interpret. There are specimens of
the type species in the Patouillard Herbarium.
Clathrotrichum Pat., Bull. Soc. Mycol. France 37: 35. 1921.
Type species (only original species): Clathrotrichum sub-
carneum Pat.
Notes: According to Mason (1928) this is a synonym of
Beneowskia. It was treated by Clements and Shear (1931) in the
Stilbaceae. Kendrick and Carmichael (1973) say it is Martindalia
Sacc. & Ellis.
Delortia Pat. & Gail., Bull. Soc. Mycol. France 5: 43. 1888.
Type species (only original species): Delortia palmicola
Pat. & Gail.
Notes: This genus was originally described as a Hetero-
basidiomycete by Patouillard, however, it has been treated by
Linder (1929) and Moore (1955) as a genus in the Helicosporae.
It is named in honor of M. Delort who collected the holotype.
Helostroma Pat., Bull. Soc. Mycol. France 18: 52. 1902.
Type species (only original species): Helostroma album
(Desm.) Pat.
Notes: Articularia v. Höh. was used by Charles (1935) for this
genus. Microstoma Niessl. was considered the proper name by von
Arx (1970).
Hirsutella Pat., Rev. Mycol. (Toulouse) 14: 67. 1892.
Type species (only original species): Hirsutella entomophila
Pat.
Notes: The genus was considered a degenerate Clavaria by
Patouillard, however, Speare (1920) and Petch (1923, 1935) have
considered it to be a Hyphomycete. Petch has added a number of speci
species.
