of Turdus ulietensis Gmelin (based on Latham) does not agree
very closely with Sharpe's specimen, and he disposes of the
case by continuing ulietensis as an Aplonis from Raiatea, of
which no specimen is known, and recognizing A. inornata Sharpe
as a species from an unknown locality in the South Seas.
