Forster from Tahiti and Moorea, such as the rails, ground pigeons,
and parrots, not to mention the almost unknown starling (Aplonis).
Bellingshausen, formerly, at least, abounded in "birds" probably
sea birds, which were "very tame", according to Findlay. Tetuaroa
may not amount to much, ornithologically, unless for rails or sand-
pipers.
