Manihi: Peale (seen). Pitcairn: Macfarlane (not breeding in March); Nicoll (seen). Raraka: Peale. Procelsterna cerulea teretirostris (Lafresnaye). Henderson: Tait & Jamieson. Henuake: Peale (breeding and had eggs, Aug. 21, 1839). Pitcairn: Nicoll (seen). Rangiroa: Townsend. Henuake is the type locality of Megalopterus plumbea Peale. The type locality of teretirostris was not indicated in the original description. Onychoprion lunatus (Peale). (Type locality: Kawehe.) Kawehe: Peale (large numbers, in Sept.). Rangiroa: Townsend.
