25 M.S. Richardson 1938. General Account the slack periods managed to get at two lines of rat traps, one of 144 traps along the base of the rock cliff. It is in a variety of habitat within this region of the cliff line -- lush brushy stream side, grassy stream side and slope, brushy slopes, many forest slopes, base of cliffs with red services, grey granite beneath cliff, etc. The other line of 38 (total 187 traps) rat traps were set along the grassy reverse of the back of head of the canyon valley. For this we small runways and it was in them that the traps were set. The count today which checked with previous counts of the traps in camp is -- Rat traps 187, Mouse traps 194, Steel traps 15 There will be more which are scheduled to arrive with tomorrow transport. This morning tended stray and while Maurice was left to prepare the specimens the two Dyaks and I set out the small mouse traps. The two begins over camp and follows along the open brushy stream came South East up the canyon. It goes south for about 1/2 kilometer of the gap and it the side hill above through brushy regions in open grassy slope and slightly along the grassy base of a large limestone cliff. The from the cliff base if you goes down through the heavy moss covered brush and for a short way down the open grassy camp slope. Then goes to about 300 m higher than camp and passes through most of the conceivable habitats of the till slope east of camp. This morning the transport arrived.
