Today was spent in packing and preparing equipment to be sent to the Darling. The Bula and I trips this morning with four half ton mrs and equipment from the camp. My equipment consisted of the following: 1 axe, sawing 16 kg 1 " stub type 10 1/2 kg 1 Delos meter 21 1 axe traps 17 1 " " 17 1/2 1 " " 15 1/2 The weather: (See Radio log). 6:00 - 14:00 clear, overlaid with clouds about mt. and shifting over very well. 14:00 - 20:00 current with late rain. Dec 29. This morning was spent in the final breaking of camp. 2 of blocks of 16mm and approximately 300 kg we laid at. The weather looked early and the first load including Ford - Bula was taken out easily. By mid morning however the flat list wind had set in and by the Bula arrived for the second ad last load it was blowing a good breeze. The crew was unable to the top of the limes and then our anchor would not hold again current or wind. The plane was continually being blown into the look by the strong wind. They finally got the plane into the bay at some 1/2 mile below camp. As quickly as possible we ever brought the equipment down, loaded, and shoved off. Then in second minutes that I was working with a net they weld to all it got the plane free of the lamps. Such was done and my son seen in the in. At the Darland camp we discharged the cargo and Bula, Ford, Joe Philo, van Orker *** my collecting bag. This collecting boy and myself staff for Holland.
