The early morning was spent in
trading traps; the remainder of the day in
preparing specimens.
The morning 7.10 Board with small transport
left for Walmara. They are to remain there
until the Sula removes the specimens and
equipment.
Flotations bought in a ring for which they
refused 20 shillings. On the other hand, they
withheld and with enthusiasm except 2 shillings for
a large Pterocetes.
Weather 6:00 - 20:00 broken overcast with occasional
opening, no rain.

198 mouse traps, 218 rat traps, 29 stub traps -
1 Leontyngys, 2 Melomys. The natives
brought in the following: 17 Melomys, 3 Stenoma,
1 Ratten, 5 Pseudochirus, 1 Dorocysis, 4 Pterocetes,
1 Phascolozela, 1 Mallomya, 2 Anisomya.
The day was spent between the rats
and the preparation fly.
Yesterday forget to mention that the
remainder of the mouse traps was set
along the line of stub traps in the forest
with 1 cage.
Weather 6:00 - 14:30 clear with scattered
clouds.
14:30 - 20:00 overcast with rain.
