The same were not set up, I am unable to describe the action of the soft. In each case there appeared to be a built up bed in the earth with sticks. At the entry there was a meter over a catch of cement which was kept taut by a off spring stick.

125 mouse traps, 224 rat traps, 10 stick traps -
3 Melomys (1.5g), 13 Strepsis (divorced).
This morning prepared specimens. This afternoon set more traps and stick traps in the mossy forest north of camp.
Fedy & transport came down from Kallera with 1 convict and ? Papuans.
Ordered by radio 2000 shell traps and 1000 glass field pins.
Shell traps to this used by Tate on last expedition or others to make up the 2000 beginning from #6501. (Information given over radio. See order #72)
