General Account from Mt Willemia Stay four turn about the south and west side of the mountain for the least 8 days looking for a practicable route to the top. Due to bad weather (1 day Friday) and an insufficient time they were unable to reach the summit or to find a practicable route to the top. Orchield brought in a portion of a Willemia shell from the 1st corp (and corp) on the other side. On planning to break camp during the next few days and move back to Rabaul. This morning brought in all troops and sent them with Lappinier and some clothing down to the camp below. 2 1/2 carrier boats in second transport. About 7:30 Orchield, Rand, Brass left with big red luggage for lower camp. Their plan was to remain there today and tomorrow if possible start toward Rabaul. It is the question of carriers what may cause the delay for a day or two. Fox left at 10:30 with the second transport to the lower camp. Today you partly stayed during this camp it has been fun giving all drugs, sedatives and convicts all sulphur off and watching them gorge themselves. Drugs, matches and soap we are in great demand.
