The afternoon remained in camp because of the rain and mist. The transport of 4 Dyaks and 2 convicts and 3 soldiers left at 7:00 for the party camped on the south slope of the mountain. A note from Ragg which came back with the soldier (11:15) stated that they were moving their camp onto the west side of the mountain. This morning Dr. Vella came over with 1 Dyak and 1 soldier. He reports the following - Small transports coming from Rabaul to the lower camps every other day. Curies had reduced from 21 to 13 litres per man. All men in good health except for one convict at Palbaya who has malaria. Said convict will not work for several days. Sept 25 2 km E Mt.
