1965 RRJ 27 5/6#8 a look at dry conditions from suburn wood. They reported possible light. didn't like the idea but oked landing. Landing made relatively easy. Set up camp near alred. guano works at NE end of island. Set out at 1300 for sooty tern colony 3 miles. Took 60 S.T. samples and banded 3000 birds. Back to camp @ 15 S.T. spinning. Weights tagged, went 21 Jun 65 to bed. Up and away for dayoon area. Walked 5+ miles. Shot - clabel & fled 3 tate. Took 13 S.T. blood samples. Wulum & I walked back @ 1300. Collected one G. Fig, one L. Fig & 1 BFB. Saw 1 Wandering Tattle. About 10 of each ag. & Frigate. One L. Eriq on egg. Grotch rubbed raw from walking - extremely tender. We set out @ 1900 for S.T. colony but I had to turn back. Cleaned up camp & went to bed.
