Mistle-crowned Sparrow - [illegible] Hewer Blackbirds - 30-F W [illegible] nest Yellow-headed Blackbird - 1M in high-trees, but ground-hab. to low-shrubs and bushes were common, and flocks of up to 50 or more. Headed Warbler - 8. Mistletoe Warbler - 2 Aubouon Warbler - 1M on the top and [illegible] but it was very inconspicuous. (I think this bird may have been a male, as it was somewhat larger than the female, and more yellowish in color.) Yellow Warbler - 1M out breeding wings and tail feathers. Shrike - 1 Robin - 60+ nest each morning in [illegible] tree. Mountain Chickadee - few Black-billed Magpie - 1 Cliff Swallow - 50-75 House-winged Swallow - 15 Barn Swallow - 1 Tree Swallow - 10-15 Fwwee - 2 Red-started Flitter - 1 Killdeer - 1 Morning Dove - 2 Black Tern - 35-30 Forester's Tern - 60-65 Gulls - 27-30 Wilson Phalaropes - 15-20 Northern Phalaropes - 250-300 Western Sandpiper - 45 Spotted Sandpiper - 1 Killdeer - 7-8 Coop - 3 Sparrow Hawk - 3 Red-tailed Hawk - 1 Vulture - 2 that joined it. Tail short. Silent on water and in flight. of head into neck. Appeared somewhat larger than trest grebe M's round and gray below with black-brown area on lower side of around base and gray front with yellow-orange with black tip and base. Head short and sloped, with yellow-orange wings and sides. Watched for 5 min or so at 75' W \ YX [illegible] in sunshine. Bill strait flight followed by run for lakeoff of about 30'. White sides below. White sides showed on Rode low to water - generally grayish-white appearance. Brownish Common Ternanser - 1M and 6 F or [illegible] Bafflehead - 1 pr. Lesser Scaup - 1M Cinnamon Teal - 8 pair Pintail - 2 pair. Mallard - 3M, 10 pair, and 7 on down-lined nest w\ 15 eggs in pine clump - 3' high. Canada Goose - 8-9 pair. Bittern - 1 Black-crowned Night Heron - 3 Common Plover - 2 White Pelican - 26 Eared Grebe - M's - 55, F's - 6 Still threatening weather, but end of several weeks of serious storms. May 16, 1922.
