Singing heard all day long, everywhere in the valley, and many males, and a few females observed on the ground, beside the roads, and trails. Cooper Hawk White-throated Swifts - pair chasing each other overhead at Glacier Point, and giving call notes - 1st time I've heard them. Hodoc Hairy Woodpecker - pair in Jeffrey Pine in front of hotel. White-headed Woodpecker - 2 or 3 around hotel. Violet-green Swallows - 3 or 4 going in and out of crevices at the point (7200') Blue-fronted Stellar Jays - several around. Clarke Nutcracker - just one seen perched in a red fir.
