Surrounding area agricultural. Coot - Saw two Killdeer - heard in nearby fields. Red-shafted Flicker Gairdner Woodpecker - One Crow - A few around. Oregon Chickadee - One flock of 10 in a yellow pine. Slender-billed Nuthatch - two with the chickadees. Ruby-crowned Kinglet - two also in the same flock with above. Golden-crowned Kinglet - about 8 in the above flock. English Sparrow - a flock in a farmyard. Western Meadowlark - A flock of about 20 seen several miles north of the lake. Purple Finch - one with the chickadees and others. House Finch - one or two Pine Siskin - One flock of 10 seen. Green-backed Goldfinch - Several seen in the brush along the slough. Willow Goldfinch - One flock of 25 and another of 10 seen. Oregon Towhee Oregon Junco - A flock of 15 with the chickadees and others. Another flock of 10 seen also. White-crowned Sparrow - Several in a thicket. Golden-crowned Sparrow - two with the above. Song Sparrow - Only two seen. D.B. Marshall
