Rusty Song Sparrow Slender-bill Nuthatch Chipping Sparrow 2. Wes tern Bluebird Killdeer Rufous Hummingbird Flicker 4. ??????Veyear Sparrow 1. We saw many Puget Sound Sparrows along the brush rows beside the road. 2. Heard the song before I saw the bird and then took out time to find out what bird was making the call. Before the trip was over we had seen about 15 of them . 3. We saw about 40 or 50 pheasants today (My es timate.) 4. Then there was the small flock of sparrows ? that flashed white when they flew around near the field and the road. Breast was whitish, general body color was a light tan compared to the other sparrows. Crown was striped with dark. Very small patch on the center of the breast. 5. Heard the Chickadee give a new ball that neither of us had remembered hearing before today. Tee Tee Tee Tee all the time working down the scale from the higher notes to the lower.
