Oct. 6 (road situated on map).
I learned several trees while out in the field:
yellow pine
sugar pine
white fir
douglas fir
incense cedar
black oak
western dogwood.
I collected one Cralces lugubris on Avery Hill under a log which was at in the open. We collected an alligator lizard in a can trap near the reservoir (G. multica). Also saw a couple of Sceloporus occidentalis and several dried-up skinkes in traps. We returned to the cabin at about 6:00 P.
Oct. 7
We got up at ~7:00 A. and left for Berkeley at 8:15 A. Drove on state R. 4 to R. 99 to R. 205 to interstate 580. We arrived at LSB at ~11:30 A. It was raining when we left the cabin.
