Nest in dense stand of cottonwood and willow. Bird did not fly until tree was vigorously shaken. Made no noise at this time and did not stay in the vicinity. However on Mar. 4 the bird made fuss at this time nest was almost complete. very little down on the nest. Bird & collected by Allen D. Miller same day. Time. N. Red Bellied Hawk Date Apr. 23 1922 B.
