Palm Springs Mar 25, 1923 weather hot, very little vegetation and no flowers. Palquity stream is rather low. The season seems to be late although it is dry. The verdins and Phainopeplas are apparently just starting. Plumbeous Gnatcatchers, Desert and Brewer Sparrows, not yet breeding. Le Conte Thrashers breeding also Cactus Wren I nest found with four eggs. Two sets of Gila (illegible) laken and one other seen. Heard one bird singing. Costa Hummer building nest and many mating. Cactus Wd (illegible) taken.
