5:30 p.m. Two towhees in Patterson
One chirping softly, giving proxied combat
flight with from nearby one-mast
nest. Displaying fully white song,
wilt lord up, chest feathers raised,
out wings dropped somewhat, and tail
raised partly, wings quivered
symmetrically at flanks other [?] individual, or generally on nest
toward F of driveway. The occurred
repeatedly. I gave and giving only
occasional chip. She flew to back yard
garages. Or remained in front, trying
to assault at NE corner of black house.
Warzone calling from SE territory; we
assume this as the home of the new
