28 June. Barrow, Alaska
One individual seen just so.
I gasoline ridge. It was
flying at first and then it
sat on a small polygon. It
then began to dig by pulling up
parts of the tundra with its bill.
It would pull up a bunch of
grass, throw it aside and
then look up and look around before
repeating its 'digging.'
30 June. Barrow, Alaska
Two seen along gasoline ridge
flying westwardly.
2 July. Barrow, Alaska
Two seen near the gasoline
ridge and one over the
beach ridge.
5 July. Barrow, Alaska
Three seen flying and hunting
over the block ridge near
the census area.
6 July. Barrow, Alaska
Several seen in central marsh
during the morning and one seen
harassing a female plover who
was flushed from a nest.
