Jackrabbits - white tail -
Jan. 7- 1928.
On this date I saw two
western white tail jacks,
among rolling hills west of Pocatello.
One was collected; Cat No.
93; ?,
Jan. 5- 1929.
Cat No. 4; ?.
This specimen was secured from
two boys who spent Xmas
vacation collecting jackrabbits
for furs.
All of their operations were
at Virginia, a small village
near Blowney, Idaho.
These boys supplied the following
data:
"From Dec. 25- 1928 to Jan. 6-1929.
140 jackrabbits were taken;
only six of this number were
of the white tailed species; also
a special effort was made to
take every white specimen
observed." Cat No. 4 was
secured from this lot.
Feb. 16 - 1929.
