Jan 17 = 1932 Sunday Portsmouth - one mile south. 2:30 p.m cloudy. # 3 tunnel. outside temperature = 3 1/2° Cent. tem. at rear of tunnel +6° C. = 42.8 F. " 10 ft inside opening - +5 1/2° C. 40.9 F. Two week prior on Jan 3, I did disturb the coyporhinus by pulling him off of the ceiling and allowing the owl to bark at him. The bat squealed loudly and floundered. I then hung him back where he had been. On this date Jan 17, the coyprhorinus had moved and was at the very rear of the mine. The four myotis are in the exact places where they were two weeks ago. #2. temperature at back. 5 1/2° C. " 10 ft from opening 4 1/2° C. No bats foundo #1. tun. at back -3° C. No bats.
