WEDNESDAY We left home for around 7:30 in the morning, and it was already raining hard when we got to school. I joined the junior picking team, which was now my first experience. I was told that there would be a pick-up at 10-11 AM for the senior team too. We started early because the rain had been pouring since 9 AM. We walked over to the bus stop (on Broadway) in King City. The bus came around 8:30 AM and took us to our destination — the Western Fairgrounds. Once we arrived, we were greeted by a group of people already waiting there. They looked like they had been camping out all night! I was surprised how many families showed up just for this event. The kids seemed excited about everything going on around them. There were lots of activities planned for later in the day including games and food stalls set up near the entrance area. After spending some time exploring different parts of the fairgrounds, we headed back towards King City around 2 PM via the same route we came from earlier that morning.
