B. Shyker. 1977 Journal. Hotel "El Repozo" Dept Huexvetengo July. Anyway, we worked back to *3. I chipped a few more, then decided to head down. We were supposed to be down by 5 PM to catch a ride we had arranged for down the mtn. For leg I didn't want to miss it. Naturally, my watch stopped, so when it said 4 PM, it was actually 6:30 when we walked down to Paraiso. The truck had left, so we ate there again - a good meal for $2.50/2, then started to walk around 7:15. It's not too long - about 2 1/2 hours, but very steep as a total of over 5000 ft. down - about 3000 from Paraiso. It's a lot of trunk. In the dark it was a long walk - I about 1/8 mile from the end Paul twisted his ankle, which looked like it hurt a lot. He hobbled in, I we charged the animals shrewd, I felt a lot better - arrived at El Repozo ~9:30. We ran out of ice, so what we did was put the animals in plastic bags, put that in a cloth bag, soak it & hang it up - the evaporation keeps everything cool - a neat idea! We are trying to keep all of these alive for Dave - here's hoping. Unfortunately Paul's ankle is still hurt; he may not be able to work San Marcos w me. Oh well - hopefully I will get both.
