Remsen, J.V. 1978 Xantus' Murrelet Endomychura hypoleuca Jan. 14 Monterey Bay boat trip, Monterey Co. Calif.: 2 - white below, uniform dark above (no contrasting gray back) - obviously Craveri's / Xantus' types, but not seen well enough to eliminate Craveri's with 100% certainty - but no dark projection into breast as in Craveri's and Mike Parmeter said they had lots of white on underwings. Xantus' very rare in winter, but no records for Craveri's.
