Full breeding plumage and singing. Sept. 28 Point Reyes, Marin Co., Calif.: 1 - Nunes Ranch, Call note "tsich" - like Townsend's-Hermit but thinner, higher - not as rich and low pitched. Oct. 5 Pt. Reyes: 2 at Fish Docks, 1 at Mendoza Oct. 9 Pt. Reyes: 8! - 4 in view at once at Fish Docks) and 4 in view at once at Mendoza Ranch Oct. 15 Pt. Reyes: 2-(1 Fish Docks, 1 Drakes Beach) Nov. 13 Monterey area, Monterey Co., Calif.: 2 at Crespi Pond Dec. 20 Crescent City Del Norte Co., Calif.: 1 at Convention Center in rows of 6 ft. tall pines - apparently a few have been here all fall.
