Upperside of tail darkish Underside of tail white Legs not recorded Behavior: Very actively foraging in trees uh with many hanging upside-down motions like Parid. Voice: silent Habitat: Row of large cottonwoods on well-irrigated ranch in middle of sagebrush desert. How identification was decided - elimination of similar species Only species with similar face patterns are: Black-thr Green, Townsend's - which is yellowish underneath, white wing bars, dark forehead, etc. Blackburnian which lacks spots, dark throat and yellow forehead, has striped back, etc..
