1960 Pearson the fence at the top of the pasture. Same line as on May 17. Sept. 9 Run traps 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.: 4 Rattles and 38 mice. Total 42. Clipped vibrissae of Rattles, left mice for dissection. Sept. 12 4:30-5:30 p.m. put 90 Sherman at Glenella Road (above Martha Rd.), same line as Aug. 23 Sept. 13 At 8 a.m. traps had 46 mice, 12 Rattles, and 12 meervetres. Of the 17 Rattles+13 meervetres tagged on this line Aug. 24, recaptured only 1 Rattle and 2 [illegible]. Total 70. Left traps out. 22 at 4:30 p.m., traps held 5 meervetres [one tagged] and 11 mice, all cooked by sun. Sept. 14 Same traps line held 61 mice, 8 Rattles, and 6 Rattles. total 75. Put 92 traps in Tilden Park (Nimitz Triangle) at 4 p.m. Saw 2 Rattles or mice while setting. About same line as May 12. (upper line) Sept. 15 Run traps 9 to 11 a.m.: 33 mice, 26 Rattles, and 12 Peromyscine meervetres. No meervetres and no sign of meervetres. Killed mice, Rattles released for vibrissae studies. Moved traps to lower fire break at 11 a.m. Cloudy-windy. Total 71 mice. Sept. 16 Traps at 9-10 a.m. held 30 Rattles, 10 mice, 7 Peromyscine meervetres, and 1 meervetre. Total 48. Picked up traps. Sept. 18 Put 92 traps at Charles Hill Rd overpass, 7 p.m.; same line as Aug 24 and 27.
