1960 Hill Rd - overpass. Much meadow sign. In some places they have eaten the habitat almost bare, with lusk grass nearby. Especially devastated are old mustard "forests" in which there is no replacement, or replaced by sparse, heavily-cropped grass. May 24 Traps held 1 Reuthro, 3 Muss, 24 Minks, night was partly clear, but rain again about 7 a.m. Picked up traps at 5 p.m.; 14 more meadow Aug. 19 14 Sherwome overnight in pasture caught 1 muss, 1 meadow, 1 leron turni, and 10 Reuthro. Kept 3 Reuthro for vibrissal studies. Aug 23 at 3:30 p.m. put 92 Sherwome at Glenella cut-off above the road, centering near the cat-tailed tree. Lots of meadow running in droppings, whitewash, and piles of thistle blossoms. Saw about 10 meadow while setting traps.
