May 16 put 95 shemone in
Tilders - ninety triangle -
along louise fisherle, 7 p.m.
May 17 Caught 15 Rethros, 7 Peromyscus,
and 1 mus.
May 18 Same line: 10 new Rethros and 4 worked over, 7 Pero,
1 microtus, and 3 Gerbontus.
May 19 Same line. 6 new Rethros and 5 worked over, also
8 Pero, 1 micke, and 2 Gerbonatus and 1 mus.
Grass drying out rapidly last 2 days. 10 traps
burned by fire-break bulldozer.
May 20 moved line further down toward playing field; 86 traps
no microtus sign. Caught 4 Rethros, 5 Pero,
1 mus.
May 21 Same line. 7 Rethros, 8 Pero, 1 Gerbonatus.
May 22 put 86 shemone + oatmeal at Glenville
School. This is the 30+ acre field trapped a few
years ago when it was thick tall mustard, thistle,
etc. Then it was scotched bare. Now mostly shorter
weeds, some grass but little oats; comms + mustard
in a few places. Set at 8 p.m. Heavy microtus
sign with many runways, weed cuttings, droppings,
white wash, + holes. Saw half-dozen microtus while
setting. Weather clear, cold.
May 23 Rain started early a.m. Traps held 7 Rethros, 10 micke,
and 9 mus. Many of the mikes were june. Heavy rain
during morning.
