1960 March 2 Night cold, mostly clear. Traps held 1 deer, 13 Ranters, and 11 muns. at 4 p.m. same live held 4 mun and 2 Ranters Day cool, light clouds. moved traps to 2 vertical lines on left side of pasture. March 3 night clouded up, wee drizzle in A.M. at 8 a.m. traps held 15 Ranters, 2 weisters, 4 muns. One of the small she-won held both a large weister and a mun - both shio. at 5 p.m. set 12 she-won on Barry property (corner Honey Hill Rd + minor Rd). Few grass, weeds, and young Baccharis. cover not nearly as good as in the pasture. also 15 she-won on the Elkin-ton- Korkin lot on Honey Hill Rd. Pretty good grass + weed cover. March 4 No catch on Barry lot; 1 weister and 1 mun on the Elkin-ton lot. Night cloudy, wee drizzle, May 3 Rain last night, cloudy most of day. Set 96 she-won baited with oatmeal at 4 p.m. in pastures. Rich grass, lots of cutlips, run-ups, and drop-pings. May 4 8 a.m. 13 mun, 4 Ranters, 4 weisters. Night clear. 5 p.m. 1 she-won. May 5 Lanoline. 4 muns, 6 Ranters, mice, also 3 of yesterday's Ranters recaptured. Pikes all traps.
