Jan 28 Orinda. Put 50 Sherman traps in pasture, with catfood bait. No runways, no droppings, no cuttings or other sign of microtine seen.
Jan 29 Caught 3 Reithro and 3 Mice. All 3 Mice near Fitzgerald's.
Jan 31 Orinda. 50 traps in pasture. Caught 3 Reithro and 2 Mice. No sign of mice.
Oct. 5 40 Shermons around pasture in Orinda, oatmeal bait. Caught 2 Reithro, 5 Mice. No sign of microtine.
Oct. 6 40 Shermons overnight at Dog Run in Tiddler Park. Wet drizzle. Caught 11 Reithro. No sign of microtine.
Oct. 14 Early rain in September (about 3") has caused grass & weeds to start off. Grass now about 4". Put 120 rod traps at 4-5 p.m. along the Calhoun line above the Tiddler sequoia grove. Bait, no microtine runways, droppings or cuttings. = Cal 3
Oct. 15 Weather unusually warm, full moon. Traps with no mice. A few spring. Many baits gone (sow bugs, silverfish and ants).
Oct 16 Weather warm, full moon. Two Reithro and one Peromyscus maniculatus on lower line. Picked up traps.
Oct. 18 Put 110 museum specials along old Dog Run in Tiddler Park (= minuty way) at 5 p.m. Caught butterbait. No sign of microtine. Weather clear, cold.
Oct. 19 Four Reithro, one per Peromycetes.
