June 1 Orinda. The mouse enclosure in the pasture contains tall oats (still green, plus broom + legume with 3" seed pods any of + 2 large (4-ft) bristly thistles). None of these nearby x nearest oats are 1 or 2 plants 5 feet away. Enclosure is just at edge of advancing comin--mustard-thistle. No comin or mustard in enclosure x Good tall grass inside and much greener still than surrounding. The oats inside the enclosure are much greener still than any nearby x The soddy beyond Sleepy Hollow is all green Comin this year. Used to be mustard. The isolated poison oak patch above the Howard's is surrounded by a neat ring of Comin.
