March 28 Set 30 Sherman in Orick Pasture at 5 p.m.
A fair number of murmages. At 10 pm had 2 Ratther
and 1 big minoatres. Checked ef traps.
The munters and thrills still dominate the Pastures,
the 1/2 inch mesh ef closures is almost all needed, but
a few oate. These are the only oats used for
several yards around:
April 19 Set 80 Sherman baited with oatmeal and plus
a few drops of Sofflower oil along the edge of Sobornin
marsh and put into marsh along the Jones Point
Road about 5 miles NW of Valleyo at 4:45 pm. Clear
and cool. Saw no Minotres sign while setting (and
very little dust during when we turned over boards
near here). At 6:30 p.m. 4 mmz (3/4 them best).
At 8:30 1 mmz and 6 Ratther. At 10 pm 2 Ratther
(clear, 1/2 moon). At midnight 3 Ratther at 1 Sores.
At 3 am 4 Ratther, 2 Sores, 1 mmz, 1 Minotrias
(about 20 grams). At 5:30 a.m. 4 Ratther.
Light frost on boards in marsh but not on car. Heavy
frost on roof at home,
The spring this year has been very cool and
raining.
April 25 Salt marsh at mouth of Wildcat Creek in Redwood.
4 pm set 75 Sherman baited with rolled oats in Sobornia
marsh. Clear, cool. Much more motes in marsh than 2 weeks
ago. Saw very little Minotres signs and only one mouse
while setting.
At 6 pm traps held 1 Ratther minotries (saw not
