Plots. may 1 John Davis says micratus are very abundant at Hutchins Reservation this year. may 4 Picked up scats in Tilden, saw no cats or hawks. Slobber droppings about as numerous as a few months ago. Saw a gray striped cat on Inspiration Point - Orinda road, and a yellow one the last Friday. may 20 Picked up scats in Tilden. No cats seen. Lots of mustard blooming. (1 cat seen near Brazollin run, algaey) may 21 Picked up scats. One dark cat at rock outcrops, but very few scats. Counted fresh gopher droppings along trails on my area = 61, grass pretty dry in most places. may 25 Pontrelli says lots of micratus this year at Oakland airport. may 30 Wined DOR at Charles Hill overpass, on freeway. also, saw gray fox at 671 Miner Rd. Orinda at 7/8pm, carrying front or rabbit. june 2 Set 48 Sherman in Orinda Pastures at 5 p.m. Lots of mustard infloresc. Lots of mouse signs x (Every other trap set) -- around my mouse-watching tower site, where last year micratus was pushing its way very through drifts of thistle seeds, now are hardly
