1963 1964 Pearson nothing in traps inf.m. except one song sparrow, no cats. Set all 100 traps. Dec. 19 Ran traps at 8 a.m., cold and rainy, 1 dock orvutue, 8 mice/otter, and 13 Rethers. No cats seen. Picked up traps Dec. 25 Gray and white cat on Tidden area. Picked up seats Dec. 26 Picked up seats. 1 cat, mostly black with speckles of brown. Jan. 8 Picked up seats on Tidden area. No cats seen, only about 1 qt. of seats, some of them not furry. Jan. 26 Some mustard blooming on certain natural slopes such as NE of Chastellth. overpass. Picked up seats in tidden. In spite of much rain in past couple of weeks they seemed easily visible and not verging on disintegration. No cats, one rat/tail. Feb. 8 Lots of mustard blooming in Orinda pastures. Many brush robins around home, a mice/otter seen climbing up into climbing fig vine on brick wall and carrying off its green leaves - in spite of lots of green grass, Feb. 9 Picked up seats in Tidden. No mustard blooming yet. Saw 1 cat (gray striped) and 1 sparrow hawk. about 3 fresh golden sets of digging along trails. Feb. 10 Picked up seats on rest of trails. No cats, 1 rat/tail, 2 sets of golden diggings plus 1 mole at same place near parking area. Found 1 dead shrew under Equino. No external marks, but red bloody when skinned. Saw cat on my trafficking island at Orinda & - roads.
