Had trouble locating stakes in the carum at Jucke, hence didn't get all traps set. Cold windy foggy. June 10 Ran traps at 7:30 a.m. Calm, sunny. On the grid 26 mice and 7 leathers. Closed these traps but set every station in rows H,I,J,K. Colburn Lower had 12 mice and 1 leather; Upper Colburn line had 14 mice and 1 Leather. at 4 p.m. Colburn Lines held only 2 mice (both lower lines). The 40 thernons on grid held 10 mice and 1 Gerberovetus. Saw 1 garter snake and 1 large gopher snake, O cats; Shower at 6 p.m. [all traps in pairs at alternate stakes on grid = 100 traps] June 11 Rained overcast, grass wet [illegible] dried at 7:30 a.m. had 51 mice, 8 leather, 15 voles, 1 Pero monerovetus, 1 Gerberovetus. Lower Colburn had 8 mice and 1 Leather; Upper Colburn 10 mice and 1 deerfoot. Found 1 dead mongolyp gopher in trail. O cats but 1 fresh droppings since yesterday. Closed grid traps. at 8 p.m. moved grid traps to alternate stakes (100 traps in pairs) at row upper Colburn Line (=6 micratus, nothing else . Saw 0 cats. June 12 Picked up grid traps at 8 a.m., slightly foggy, then sunny. 54 mice, 8 leather, 1 Pero murive. Saw no cats. Also picked up Colburn: Lower line 4 mice, 2 leather, upper line 13 mice, 1 leather.
