The upper left corner is now tall canum; the center left, which was grazed two years ago and mustard last year is now pure thistle. Only the lower part (and the knoll) are now pure grass. In the saddle beyond Steely Hollow where there has been a nice effusion of mustard in recent years, there is now a large patch of mustard in bloom, but the center is all canum in bloom. June 4 Ran traps at 7 a.m. Sunny. 45 musters, 5 mus, and 0 Benthos. 9 of the mules were dead, almost all of these from the bottom 3 rows. The fewest mules were taken on the knoll where the grass, although short, is dense and has lots of seeds. Lots of mice in the pure thistle and pure canum. In the pure thistle is last year's grass and mustard stems. Closed traps at 7 a.m., opened at 7:30 p.m. June 5 Ran traps at 7 a.m. Sunny. 38 musters, 2 Benthos, 3 mus, and 1 Sorex. Closed traps at 7 a.m., opened at 8 p.m. Full moon. June 6 Sunny. Ran traps at 7 a.m. 46 musters, 3 Benthos, and 2 mus. Picked up traps, June 7 Picked up scale on main trail in Tiller, all got lower left Found 1 20-year dead & musters, dumped. Saw 2 Burbowline, 1 guthrie snake, 1 redtail, 0 scale, June 8. Rodochorus of Oviedo area. June 9. at 8 p.m. set Colburn 3 in Tiller and just 6 rows of Tiller grid (60 stems). Much of the area on the east
