Oct. 24 Night cloudy. Visited up Colburn traps at 7:40 a.m. Two micratus and 1 Pero monodicta in upper line. One of the micro a prey ♂, the Pero a breeding ♂. Total colbournoted for 3 days: 4 male, 3 Pero male. Oct 28 Finished placing up traps on Tilden area. Total fall Oct. 21-28 was 2 qtr. On Oct -28 saw cat, raccoon, and skunk tracks on muddy trails. Some of the cow tracks were well up on the hillside. Saw sparrow hawk on area, and a cat between Inspiration Point and Orinda. Oct. 30 at 4 p.m. (sunny, warm) set 77 Sherman stations on Tilden Blvd, rows A,B,C,D,E,F,H and I nos. 10,9,8,7,6,5,4. A few good runways. The fire road (row G) was not scouted this year and is quite weedy, probably no longer a good barrier. Saw 1 sparrow hawk, 1 large police dog, and 1 cat (pure white underparts, dark greyish back) Oct. 31 Row traps at 7:45 a.m. Saw 1 sparrow hawk and 1 cat (dark smokey color, probably some tawny). Traps held 9 Rattus and 4 micro (adi crecket). Tagged and released all, left [illegible] 2 of the micro traps closed. Moved rows B and D to I and J. Morning sunny and warm, note different cats yesterday and today, at 4:30 p.m. traps held 1 large Greenheron. Scout every other trap on row F down to complete round, have 75 traps out. Sunny, warm-
