1962 1 cat (white) and 1 sparrow hawk on my area and drove past. Jan 24 Doe traps at 9 a.m. : 6 Muntjac, 1 Roethor, 1 Pero maniculatus, 4 Sorex ornatus. Saw 1 cat (white) on study area. One of the muntiacs early preg. Left trap out. Jan 25 Did not check traps yesterday P.M. Doe trape at 7:30 a.m. : 10 Muntjac, 1 Roethor, 1 Pero maniculatus. Saw no cats on my area, from the road, but I think about 200 yards down the road. Set 82 Sherman in Orinda pasture at 5 P.M. No fresh muntiac signs. Jan 26 Doe traps at 7 a.m. Horned owl rook in pasture. Ditto sparrow hawk. Caught 2 Muntjac, 5 Roethor, 2 Sorex ornatus, 1 Sorex townbridgei. Traps were (half of them) in field north of the pasture and half along the east fence at top of pasture, down the Fitzgerald fence, then across the bottom of the pasture. Saw a grey & white rabbit or gnuiner pig in weeds in middle of pasture. at 5 p.m. set 82 traps at Charlotte Hill Rd and Diablo Blvd. Past year's cover still lush. Quite a few scats lying around, saw jack-rabbit fesc. Jan 27 at 7 a.m. traps held 3 Roethor and 1 Pero maniculatu. Horned owls around home Jan 30 Set traps around stable and Region creek. Caught 2 Pero gymno trice, 2 Muntjac, and 4 Roethor. One of the Roethors was # 1581 tagged Nov 30 on the
